I photograph a lot of outdoor weddings and absolutely love the natural light, but I also photograph a lot of indoor weddings and weddings when the weather just doesn’t cooperate. Kaitlyn and Gary’s wedding was both of those things, indoor and uncooperative weather…AND gorgeous. We were lucky enough to get in a handful of portraits at the Detroit Institute of Arts before the rain began, but once it began it didn’t stop for the rest of the night. Kaitlyn and Gary had a traditional Greek ceremony at a Troy, MI church followed by a reception at the Colony Club in Detroit. It was a classically beautiful autumn wedding in a classically beautiful venue. Congratulations Kaitlyn and Gary!

We chose Kelly because of her light and airy real film style of photography and the impressive reviews and examples of her work – she was just what we were looking for.
On the day itself Kelly was with us from the morning of us getting ready to after dinner at the reception and not once did she stop! She was charming, patient and unobtrusive and made everyone feel relaxed. She captured every stage of the day with some amazing shots; from the big ones to the smallest intimate moments; catching some great scenes.
The photo album montage she put together was just fabulous! We viewed it for the first time and it brought each moment of the day (big and small) back in such detail that it choked us up as we remembered the emotions of the day. The whole day was encapsulated in a few moments, but ones that we will never forget. Not only the excitement and joy on our faces as we recollect the very special day, but also on family and friend’s faces that perhaps we didn’t manage to see or note as the day passed.
Kelly is a truly gifted photographer who was able to capture the day in a subtle but truthful and relaxed way that did not intrude at any point.
I would whole heartedly recommend her to anyone looking for a photographer for their special day who wants someone who truly works at the top of their game and produces outstanding results with cool professionalism.
