2020 has been a really difficult year for weddings and I have only photographed a handful of small ones. With the virus and all the mandates on what is and what isn’t allowed, it really forced me to think outside the box and in some cases, make tough decisions on what I could do for my clients. Thankfully, Carri and Joe’s wedding fit within the state mandates of Indiana and Michigan (the ceremony took place in Indiana and the reception was in Michigan) and I was honored to be a part of their beautiful celebration. Carri chose to wear her mother’s wedding gown for the ceremony and while she was getting ready, she told me no alterations were necessary…she put it on and it fit perfectly. Meant to be. ❤️ We did a portion of couple portraits in her mother’s gown and then she switched to her own, new gown for the second set of portraits and the reception. It was a gorgeous day and everything came together seamlessly. Congratulations Carri and Joe!
